To help decide which preservative treatment is the most appropriate for your timbers there are various systems available based on industry standards and experience.
Use Classes
The Use Class system, defined in BS EN 335-1, helps to classify the levels of preservative protection required, depending upon the timber's eventual end use. TANALISED Clear pressure treated timber is suitable for exterior, uncoated, out of ground contact applications which can be exposed to frequent wetting - often greater than 20% moisture content - Use Class 3.2.
