Treatment Processes - tel 01772 336519

Our preservative treatment process is carried out under controlled conditions in a modern industrial treatment plant within our treatment centre.

Lonza Wood Protection is a ISO 9001 registered company and our continual assessment against this quality standard includes the Preston Service Treatment Centre.

High Pressure Process
The production of TANALISED Clear pressure treated timbers involves a high pressure treatment process that drives the preservative deep into the structure of the timber.
High pressure treatment has the potential for a high level of penetration.
The actual penetration level will depend on the heartwood/sapwood ratio of the timber, as well as the permeability of the species.
Greater penetration will be achieved with a permeable species such as Pine, against a more resistant species such as Spruce.
